Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville. Friends may continue to call on Monday, March 16, 2009 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2009 at Royal Lanes Supper Club in Dyersville. Officiating will be Rev. Corby Johnson.

Andrew is survived by his parents, Mike and Mary Knipper of Dyersville, his sister, Clare of Chicago, IL, his grandparents, Arlene Wilhelm & LeRoy Wilhelm, aunts & uncles: Muriel Boeckenstedt, Mary Anne & Jeff Huberty, David & Cindy Wilhelm, Diane Wilhelm-Johnson & Steve Johnson, Donna & Richard Lintern, Mike & Rhonda Wilhelm, Tom & Jo Wilhelm, Vicki & Brian Rehnstrom, Steve Wilhelm, Rick & Ann Pech, Dan & Kate McNeal, Phil Wilhelm, Gary Wilhelm and many beloved cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Linus and Clara Knipper, and Helen Wilhelm.

Andy was born on December 16, 1985 in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Mike and Mary (Wilhelm) Knipper. He attended Western Dubuque schools. Andy was employed at Modernfold Inc. in Dyersville before moving to Cedar Rapids where he worked in the HVAC and construction industries. He was displaced by the floods of “08” and spent the following eight months helping others who were also affected by the floods. Andy enjoyed spending time with his many friends, camping, fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed four-wheeling in his parent’s timber. Andy’s welcoming and open personality as well as his generosity will be sorely missed.
