Margaret A. Michael, 91, of Dyersville, Iowa, formally of Truro, Iowa, died Thursday April 1, 2010, at Chateau Royale, Worthington, Iowa.
Friends may call from 10:30 – Noon Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, April 6, 2010, at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro, Iowa with burial in Young Cemetery, Truro. Officiating will be Rev. Kevin Smith.

Margaret was active with the United Methodist Church in Truro. She also loved to garden and travel, taking several bus trips to Branson

Survivors include her daughter, Joan (Dan) Zitelman of Dyersville, 4 grandsons: Michael (fiance Marla Menne) Zitelman, of Dublin, OH, Nathan Zitelman of Chicago, IL, Benjamin Zitelman of Dyersville, IA and Nicholas Zitelman of Cedar Falls, IA, a sister, Mildred Busse of Carol Stream, IL.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry, a sister, Eula (Harmen) Trampel, and her brother-in-law, Harold (Jeanette) Michael

Margaret was born on March 9, 1919 in Cold Springs, MN, the daughter of Albert and Augusta (Lorenz) Veenstra. She graduated from Goodell High School and from Thompson Beauty School in 1942. Margaret made a career of cosmetology, retiring in 2002. She married Harry Michael on December 30, 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa. Together they farmed near Truro. Harry preceded her in death in 1988
