Lois was born on June 22, 1921, in Dyersville, Iowa, the daughter of August and Helen (Link) Kramer. She married Edward M. Huberty on April 9, 1942, in Dyersville, Iowa. She was a retail clerk for JC Penney Company and then for the State Liquor Store until its closure and her retirement. Lois cared for her husband, Ed, until he preceded her in death in 2000. She was a life member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court St. Rose. |
Survivors include 2 sons: Dan (Sue) Huberty of Clyde Hill, WA, Kevin Huberty of Anamosa, IA; 2 daughters: Pam (Chuck) Kerker and Heidi (Dan) Deutmeyer both of Dyersville; 8 grandchildren: Shawn (Eunice) Kerker, Chad (Sandee) Kerker, Mark, John and Mathias (Matt) Huberty, Audrey, Carly and Abby Deutmeyer; 5 step-grandchildren: Savannah, Cassie, Kaitlin, Jake and Colton Wolfe; 1 granddaughter-in-law, Heidi Sebetka, 4 great grandchildren: Brandon, Brittany, Zachary and Clarissa Kerker; 1 sister: Eileen Vay of Phoenix, AZ. |
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, one grandson, Jody Kerker, a sister, Anita Kramer and brother-in-law, Herb Huberty. |
Friends may call from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2010, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa where a Catholic Daughters of America Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m., a parish scripture service will be held at 5:30 p.m. and the Dyersville Volunteer Fire Department will gather at 6:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Phil Kruse.
