Rose Clara Ellerbach, 86 of Holy Cross, Iowa died 5:05 p.m. June 26, 2010 at Stone Hill Care Center Dubuque, Iowa.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Monday June 28, 2010 at Kramer Funeral Home in Holy Cross, Iowa where a parish scripture service will be held at 5:00 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday June 29, 2010 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Holy Cross Iowa with burial in Holy Cross cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Raymond Burkle.

Survivors include her husband Lawrence of Holy Cross and a son, Dennis and Judy Ellerbach of Holy Cross, Iowa.
One grandson, George Ellerbach and one granddaughter, Jennifer Ellerbach both of Holy Cross.
Rose is also survived by sisters in law, Mary Welter and Carol Lattner.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters, Catherine Welter, Carl Welter, Veronica (Joseph) Griffin, Ted Welter, Rose Mary Welter, Nick Welter, Matilda Welter, John Welter, Mary Welter and Michael Welter.

Rose was born on October 14, 1923 in Richardsville, Iowa, the daughter of Nicholas and Mary (Stoffel) Welter. She married Lawrence Ellerbach on April 7, 1956 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Richardsville, Iowa.
Rose loved gardening and quilting. She was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and the Holy Cross Catholic Church. Through the years she did house cleaning for families and worked at the Battery Factory in Dubuque.
